Course Overview

The aPHR is the only certification among the three international bodies that requires no prior professional HR experience, which makes it the natural first credential for recent graduates, administrative staff moving into HR, and professionals transferring from another discipline.

The examination is knowledge-based and multiple choice, weighted across defined functional areas: HR operations, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, human resource development and retention, employee relations, and compliance and risk management. Because HRCI publishes the weighting of each area, preparation can be allocated with unusual precision.

This programme follows those published weightings exactly. Study time, video coverage and question bank volume are all distributed in proportion to examination weight, so that no candidate spends disproportionate effort on a lightly weighted area.
