Course Overview

Most HR functions already produce data. Very few produce evidence that alters a decision. This programme addresses that gap directly, and it is deliberately practical rather than theoretical.

You will learn to define metrics precisely enough that two analysts calculate them identically, to build a workforce dashboard that answers a leadership question rather than displaying everything available, and to construct an analytical narrative that leads to a named decision with a named owner.

The course also covers the credibility risks specific to people analytics: small sample sizes, confusing correlation with causation, survey response bias, and the reputational cost of presenting a number that finance can disprove. Practical work uses spreadsheet-based exercises, so no programming background is required.

What Students Say

“We had a pay structure that nobody could explain and compression across three grades. The compensation workshop gave me the evaluation method and the modelling approach to rebuild it properly, and the remediation costing was what finally persuaded our finance director.”

“We enrolled eleven people from two countries on the business partner programme. The value was in the live assignment: every participant brought a real problem from their own unit, and several of those recommendations were implemented before the programme even finished.”
