Course Overview

The business partner title is widely used and rarely delivered. Most practitioners holding it remain, in practice, senior administrators who are consulted after a decision has been taken rather than while it is being formed.

This programme addresses the specific capabilities that change that position: commercial literacy sufficient to discuss margin and cost per unit credibly, diagnostic skill to identify the people constraint behind a business problem, consulting technique to contract with a line leader rather than simply receive instructions, and influence method to shift a decision you have no authority over.

The programme is structured around a live assignment. You select a real business challenge in your own organisation, diagnose it, build an evidence-based case, and construct the influence plan required to move it forward. Trainer feedback is provided on your submitted work.

What You Will Learn

Read financial statements and discuss commercial performance credibly with line leadership
